Common Genet

Common Genet

The word “common” means undistinguished or not-special. But, doesn’t each creature have some distinction from the next? People have emotions, experiences, qualities, and culture. But, don’t animals have those characteristics? Perhaps what makes a human is the concern of the existential: why we are here or the meaning of life. Animals, such as the “Common Genet” are too busy trying to survive to ponder such observational dilemmas.

They will never be hipsters.
